A Wheelchair for Orville

This summer on the mission trip we were blessed to meet an amazing man of God. We came to deliver him food and the love of God, but he was the one that blessed us and taught us so much about God. He lived in a very small shack on the side of the mountain which consisted of not much more then a bed and some clothes. He had a stroke 3 years ago and had minimal use of his legs.

He was using a broken step ladder as a walker and his over 70 year old caregiver often had to carry him up to 30 minutes at a time to get to the doctor and church. He praised the Lord for everything he was going through because he knew that God was getting the glory. Looking in his eyes was like looking the eyes of Jesus, and hearing his voice was what I believe the angels in heaven will sound like.

We were so thankful to be able to be a blessing to him and provide him with a wheelchair with the help of our Jamaican brothers and sisters in Jamaica.  This man is truly a treasure and our lives were forever touched my him.
